The leading event in the Defense and Security Industry – Eurosatory, is coming up with an exciting edition in 2018!
This year the show will take place from 11th to 15th June at the usual venue – Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre in Paris, France. The event gathers Defense and Security professionals from all over the world and showcases the newest trends and highlights in the industry.
If you plan on exhibiting or visiting Eurosatory, there are some important things to consider. Here are our top 9 tips to help you get ready for the show and get the best out of it:
1. Set your objectives
To get the most out of your time at the show, be clear in what you would like to achieve with your attendance. Set clear goals and train your sales people so that they can perform best at the show. Identify whether you will need support at the stand and book a hostess to collect business cards, filter the visitors to the stand and lend a hand to your sales people.
2. Remember to register
The access to the show is restricted to professional and business visitors, who have been invited to it, so don’t forget to register and get your badge.
3. Pre-schedule anything you can to save time
set up meeting with people you want to meet, stands that you want to visit and conferences to attend. A clear plan of your days at the exhibition will help you manage best your priorities and get the most of your time at the show.
4. Dedicate time to exploring the venue before the exhibition
Paris Nord Villepinte is France’s largest exhibition complex. With its 300 000 m2 of interior exhibition space and 110 000 m2 exterior, it is one of the European leaders for international B2B events. In such a location, you can waste a lot of time in finding your way. Have a map of the venue with you and do your homework -mark in advance all the locations that you plan to visit.
5. Plan your transportation
Villepinte is located 30 km far from the center of the city, so it is essential to prepare your trip well in advance. Check out public transport details (RER, bus, taxi, personal vehicle or car rentals), and look for the nearby parking if you travel by car. You can also book a car transfer in advance for you and your team that will facilitate the commuting from and to the exhibition venue and will save a lot of time.
6. Prepare for strikes
Paris’ public transportation is notorious for strikes during major events, taking place in the French capital. Be prepared – check the traffic information and planned strikes on this website – https://www.ratp.fr/en
7. Have your ID with you
Like at other Defense exhibitions, the security levels at Eurosatory are very high. All people attending the exhibition should carry and present on request an identity document – passport, picture ID, military ID, driving license or national identity document. Access to the exhibition is prohibited under the age of 16.
8. Don’t miss the outdoor area
The exhibition is separated into two exposition areas – indoor and outdoor. The outdoor part is an arena to various kinds of impressive live demonstrations, showing the use of military vehicles, drones, showcasing technical intervention and military operations and is worth seeing!
