Located between Paris and Charles-de-Gaulle Airport, Paris Nord Villepinte is France’s largest exhibition complex and thus one of the most significant business venues not only in Europe, but also worldwide. In case you are preparing an exhibition there soon, check out the three most important things to consider.
1.It’s a large venue… REALLY!
With its 300 000 m2 of interior exhibition space and 110 000 m2 exterior, Paris Nord Villepinte is the largest exhibitio
n venue in France and one of the European leaders for international B2B events. Impressive with its size and architecture, the exhibition complex is the preferred location for some the biggest internatio
nal trade shows – Milipol, SIAL, Silmo, Eurosatory and many more.
Avoid wasting time getting your way around in the venue and prepare in advance – have a venue map, check where the main entrances, cloakrooms, restaurants, taxi stands and all other important points are.
2. Plan your transportation
Villepinte is located 30 km from Paris, 10 km from Le Bourget airport and 7 km from the Roissy Charles de
Gaulle airport. As it is quite far from the center of the city, it is good to prepare your trip in advance, when coming to an exhibition. Check out public transport details (RER, bus, taxi, personal vehicle or car rentals), and look for the nearby parking if you travel by car.
The most convenient way to reach the venue from Paris would be to take the RER – line B (in the direction of ‘Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2-TGV’) It takes you to the Paris Nord Villepinte via the ‘Parc des Expositions’ station. Note that ‘Villepinte’ station gives no access to the exhibition center.
3. Be prepared for strikes
Paris’ public transportation is notorious for strikes during major events, taking place in the French capital. Be prepared – check the traffic information and
planned strikes on this website – https://www.ratp.fr/en
In case of a strike or disturbance on some of the lines that bring you to the venue, you have several options – to take a bus, taxi or to book a transfer. Taking the bus is not a good option as you need to change at multiple bus stops, the trip will be very long and you will miss precious hours of the exhibition day. A taxi would be a good option however, have in mind that in case of a stri
ke it is difficult to find a cab and the waiting time in this case is very long as well.
Booking a transfer in advance for you and your team will save you all the stress and the hustle. You will avoid the long waiting for a taxi and will insure the quick and comfortable transport of your team from and to the exhibition center, setting yourself in the best condition to concentrate on your work and your clients and make the show a great success for your company.
